PepperTap App Review

Grocery shopping memory for me was always associated with shopping with my mother. Looking at her feel the vegetables, take its fragrance and ofcourse bargaining with the vegetable vendor.  My mother used to go through this mundane chore every single day.

I hate grocery shopping. I can’t muster up the courage to go to the market and check the freshness and bargain with the vendors. A supermarket concept always intrigued me. It was like getting everything under the sun.

But !!!!! The never ending cash counter queues used to freak me out.

I am sure there are people just like me who felt the need of “On-Demand Grocery” and lo behold !!! It was answered by many. On Demand grocery is a busy and a flourished market by now. These apps are so useful because they provide products at your doorstep, they pamper you with plethora of choices that you find at your local kirana store cannot stock up in his retail space.

All you got to do is few Taps and the work is done….

I will be reviewing an On-Demand grocery app that launched in November 2014, that covers not 1…not 2…not 3…but 37 cities across India…PepperTap… It has to be my favorite because my home sweet home looks and feels beautiful because of PepperTap products.

It delivers products in eleven categories…with Fruits & Vegetables, Non Vegetarian Food, Instant Food, Drinks & Beverages, Breakfast, Dairy, Snack Foods, Cooking Essentials, Health & Beauty, Home Supplies & Utilities and Baby Needs. A maximum of 20 items can be ordered at a time. Now this is a little cumbersome because it won’t let you buy in bulk.

But PepperTap app is so amazing and convenient that you get frozen food, pav bhaji mix, chinese sauces, pastas, papads, tea, coffee, health drinks, aerated & fresh fruit juices, squashes, mineral water, soda, biscuits, chips, spices, dals, women hygiene products, mops, agarbattis, dry fruits, toffees as well as sanitary pads, condoms and lubes.

PepperTap promises to deliver the products in 2 hours and you can place an order between 10 am – 10 pm (Convenient!!!) and if you order stuff worth more than Rs 250 , the delivery comes for free. But if the order worth is less than Rs 250, they charge a whopping sum of Rs 50 as a delivery charge (STEEP!!!)

Payment Options

 

Pretty simply laid!!! You can either pay online through your cards or cash on delivery. They have added a new option wherein we can make the payment via Paytm account too, which is so cool. I hope they add other popular payment options too like Oxigen Wallet, MobiKwik etc.

PepperTap exactly knows how to keep the customers happy and that is why they give good discounts as well. A first time shopper will get a 20% discount.

PepperTap works very smoothly on Android and I did not find any glitch in the interface of the app. I love the look of the app, the colours they have chosen for it and definitely its red and white logo (a shopping cart inside a tomato). 

                                                  

                                       

You can view you cart at the bottom and the checkout button just beside it. Once you click checkout, they ask for your contact number on which they send an OTP number. In the next stage they will ask your address and then Tadaaaaa!!! Your order is accepted.

Cancellation of order is pretty simple too.

All in all…My experience with PepperTap was very good and I have highly recommended this app to my friends.

PepperTap actually lives upto its promise of delivering staples and vegetables.

So people…just get rid of those never ending traffic lights, long queues, sweating, cribbing and order everything from the comfort of your home and that too wearing your favorite shorts!!!

VLCC Natural Sciences Hand & Foot Cream

What better than the goodness of a cocoa butter!!!

VLCC products never fail to amuse me. I started off by using their Kohl’s…foot creams and just recently a face wash too.

I can say that I am a happy user of VLCC Natural Sciences products.

They always use natural ingredients that makes them absolutely UNPUT-DOWNABLE !!!

I have a horribly dry skin especially my fingers and that is why I have to keep them moisturized throughout the day. I do not even like the sticky feeling that some creams give and that is why I needed a Hand cream that doesn’t look greasy but keeps my hands moisturized.

Finally I got it …from VLCC…

Today I will be reviewing an amazing Hand & Foot Moisturizing Cream from the VLCC  Pedicure - Manicure kitty.

I loooooovvvvvee this cream…its creamy texture…its fragrance..its feeling…everything…

All you got to do is …generously massage your feet and cuticles for about 2 minutes and your skin feels very soft and supple…

Texture

This pale yellow cream is extremely soft and gets absorbed instantly. And that is what I like about this product.

It is not at all greasy and the hands feel baby soft.

Fragrance

I am in love with its mild fragrance and the fragrance lingers. Infact you don’t even have to open the flip cap because the moment you take the tube in hand you will feel the fragrance.

Packaging

It is a sturdy squeeze tube with a tight flip cap. The orange color on the packaging stands out. It is light weight.

Expect no fancy packaging!!!

What I like about the product?

• Instantly moisturizes the skin
• Moisturizing stays upto 3-4 hours unless your hands are constantly under water
• Does not give a greasy look
• Sweet mild fragrance
• Buttery soft texture
• One drop of it is sufficient and that is why it can last for one month if you use it daily
• COCOA BUTTER…The moment I hear these words and I am all alert. I am hoarder of products having this absolutely heavenly ingredient.
• Travel friendly tube 

What I do not like about the product?

• I tried locating this individual tube if I could get it somewhere but in vain. You need to buy VLCC’s entire Manicure- Pedicure kit for it. I am sure if VLCC comes out with this individual tube it will definitely be on top of the charts in its category.

VLCC Natural Sciences Kajal Review

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder…Let me rephrase it…Your beauty is in your eyes…

Eyes are the most important feature of your face. It’s the eye that sees the beauty and it’s the eye that attracts the beauty…

Girls you all will agree to me when I say that your makeup is not complete without a proper eye makeup…

Everyone loves those kohl-eyed beauties…beauties with smoky eyes…don’t we?

I am a true make up junkie and I just can’t imagine myself going out without my eye makeup and my BFF for my eyes…is a sexy…black…intense Kajal…

At times all I need is one stroke of it and I am sorted. I have always loved how Kajal intensifies your look…changes you from drab to drool…

So here I am today reviewing VLCC Natural Sciences Kajal…

Kajals or Kohls are a craze amongst Indian women and trust me I am no different. I am a hoarder of anything related to eye makeup. I have tons of beautiful coloured eyeliners…eye pencils…eye shadows and kohls…

My first stint with Kajal was “Jai Kajal” a cute green tub (finger application)… Tedious to apply but has no options then…

So coming back to VLCC Kajal…VLCC products are fabulous because they have a lot of natural ingredients in them.

I agree I have many Kohl pencils but I still wanted to own one great Kajal…On NYKAA during a sale I came across VLCC Kajal just for 99 INR (Actual price being 150 INR). I couldn’t resist and picked it up.

To my surprise when I got the delivery…I got not one but two pieces…I just can’t explain how happy I felt…In 99 INR I got two Kajal pieces which is such a loot…

Undoubtedly, this Kajal is dark…intense and stands out. I normally put just one stroke of it but during some occasions it has to be two strokes and trust me it gives an intensifying look. It is smooth and glides well. I normally use it on my waterline and have faced no irritation.

I wear contact lenses and have not faced issue with it…it has Triphala in it to improve your vision (well..I can’t comment on this as I have started using this some two weeks ago)

It also has Almond Oil that keeps your eyes clear…

Now…I have an oily skin and also because of this scorching heat I have experienced that this Kajal tends to smudge…but after a good 3-3.5 hours of application.

If you are always under air conditioned environment then you don’t have to worry at all. Also during winters it won’t be an issue…But I really doubt whether it could handle the Mumbai Rains.

It does smudge but little and that too in the outer corner of your eyes… and I think for such an economical price this product is a great catch.

Packaging

It comes in lipstick type packaging and has a transparent plastic lid. Now I am sure the plastic will get a lot of scratches and make the lid look pathetic…so I am not a fan of this type of packaging because it doesn’t let you sharpen the tip when it becomes blunt and that’s the reason why I prefer pencil Kajals.

What I like about the product?

• Intensely black
• Smooth and glides easily
• Very economical
• Fragrance of Almond Oil could be felt
• Waterline friendly
• Contact lens friendly
• Made up of natural ingredients
• Shelf life of 2 years 
• Calm and soothing
• Fits your purse easily

What I do not like about the product?

• Packaging is a turnoff
• Sharpening the tip is gonna be tedious
•  It does smudge…but little… (Have to be honest about it)

Would I repurchase it?

Price is super economical and that’s why I wouldn't mind purchasing it again during a sale. It is very handy when you up for a casual day.

It is not the best but a good one.

Fash Face Cleanser Review

Are you finicky about your facial skin?

I can never experiment with my facial skin. Not after the day I had developed dirty black marks on my face because of a facial that had gone horribly wrong…horrendously wrong.

The name Fash, I think is the combination of two word…Face and Wash…

The first day when I used Fash, I saw that my face looked fresh.

Eventually it became my Holy Grail. So wherever I went, it had to be with me….By default !!!

Within three months of regular usage all my visible marks had gone. I am not exaggerating or being biased but all it took was three months and I got my flawless skin back.

I do not deny that even a healthy diet and medicines played a role. But 50% of the role was played by FASH.

I vividly remember just a week of using Fash gave me a compliment from a colleague “What have you done to your skin…it is glowing” (All I could do was…Blush….)

Texture

It is a thick blue liquid…has a texture like syrup. It is not at all watery. If you get a watery one that means the product is either expired or about to expire… (experienced this too)

The thick texture makes you take a little more quantity only then it lathers well.

It is a sturdy squeeze tube with a tight flip cap. As I mentioned earlier, it has no fancy packaging. It is light weight and hence it is travel friendly. The only glitch I have found about this product is it tends to leak and that is why it is advisable to wrap it up in a plastic.

P.S. Do not ever keep it in your vanity case.

If you have oily to normal skin and if it tends to breakout at times….this is the face wash for you…People who have extremely oily skin will also benefit from this product because it keep oiliness at bay for a good 3-4 hours. It cleans your face and gives it a clear look.

And this face wash can be used by men as well. My guy friends use it and they have absolutely no complaints about it.

When you use it during winters you may find that your skin feels stretchy after using this product but it’s nothing serious.

Fragrance

It has a strong fragrance but only when you take it in your palm and when you lather it. Later on the fragrance subsides but it still lingers (Mild). So for all you lovelies who have a sensitive nose…I may not recommend this to you.

What I like about the product?

• Perfect for oily to normal skin
• Guys...fret not!!! Perfectly suitable for your facial skin 
• Travel friendly tube
• One tube lasts for two and half months 
• Budget Friendly (Rs 175 only) 
• Medicated face wash...has no side effects at all 
• Reduces occurrences of break outs

What I do not like about the product? 

• Eventhough it has a tight cap, the tube leaks when you keep it in your luggage...annoying at times as it has to be wrapped when you take it with you
• Contains SLS…but nowadays all products do contain it…
• Availability only at medical stores and they stock up very less…at times you do not get it too…

But I am a happy user of FASH. These miniscule negative points can never overpower what this product has done for my skin.

Do you love Marshmallow (Yummmmm)? Oh yes and I am hooked to it…

I may sound dumb but I did not know what a Body Butter was. I always used to think why it was called a “butter” and not just a “lotion”.

Butter sounded so eatable!!!! Something like “Smear with it….I am your toast” ;) ;)

“Buttery Soft Skin” ---------Does it ring a bell? Well it did to me!!!

Body butters are meant to keep your skin soft and supple.

I was always intrigued by all this body butter hype and eventually I made myself go for one. I researched on a lot of body butter like The Body Shop (which is highly talked about and I am sure they would be fantastic), herbal ones etc. But one fine day while skimming through my favorite beauty website NYKAA, I came across a good discount on a brand called “NATIO”. I immediately did a thorough research on the brand.

It is a very well known “Australian” brand of cosmetics and skin care. They have an amazing product line that I will definitely try very soon.

So made a decision and bought myself Natio Spa Coconut and Shea Body Butter.

Anything that has “Shea Butter” in it makes me positively alert. For all you beautiful ladies who love “Marshmallow” you shouldn't miss this product.

Natio Spa Coconut and Shea Butter comes in a huge jar. I fell in love with the jar at first sight. The moment I opened the lid…I could feel coconut all over. It is absolutely creamier and thus you wont need it more while applying.

This jar of goodness smells delicious!!!

It is rich in certified organic plant nutrients, this luxurious butter absorbs quickly to quench my dry skin, leaving it deeply nourished, soothed, soft and heavenly scented.

When I applied it for the first time, there was this strong fragrance of coconut but trust me within like 10 minutes of application the strong fragrance subsides into a soft scent. But it definitely lingers…And I absolutely like this about the product.

It gets absorbed instantly and doesn’t leave your hand greasy……Plus point…

My arms and especially my elbows tend to get very dry in winters as well as summers. But on application of this body butter it keeps my concern areas well moisturized.

I apply it only to my hands though it can be used all over the body. Infact when I first used this body butter, I applied it only to my left hand to see what difference it makes….

I observed:

• Left hand instantly felt creamier
• Even after a good 9 hours of work, I could feel the moisturizing effect
• I tried and pinched my arm and it felt really soft
• Saw a great improvement especially my elbow area

• Gives a glistening glow to your skin without looking oily

What I do not like about this product?

• The pricing is a little steep….1130 INR..But you get amazing discounts on India’s best beauty website NYKAA..I got it for  961 INR…

P.S.  For best results, apply it generously and massage into slightly damp skin after hopping out of the shower.

Start applying to your hands and I am sure you will end up slathering all over your body.

Neutrogena Norwegian Hand Cream Review

Just a dab relieves dry and chapped hands….

It absolutely does what it says!!!

It’s a rarity nowadays when a product/brand out performs.

Neutrogena Norwegian Hand Cream is the best example of “Under Promise….Over Deliver”. This is my first hand cream that I tried. I got it last year and I must say that I am happy with this one.

Yours hands reflect your age as the skin is sensitive. One can make out a person’s age by looking at his/her hand. Our hands go through many ordeals in a day. Majorly they are exposed to harmful UV rays, at home they are constantly under water either for washing utensils, your clothes, mopping your floor, cooking food and so on.

Those poor hands of yours are one of the neglected parts of your body.

I have always loved the concept of “hand cream” but was too lazy enough to make it a part of my daily routine. One day I just made myself buy a hand cream. When I had ample of time to do research on the “hand cream” market on various websites I came across this product.

Mind you…The packaging will not attract you because it is just plain white packaging. Nothing worth mentioning!!! But I still went ahead with this product because it comes from “Neutrogena” kitty.

A safe bet !!!

Neutrogena is famous for it’s skin care range so I was rest assured about the quality. Still to be on a safer side, I first thought of trying something simple. So hand cream it was!!!

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream (Concentrated)

What it says?

Provides prompt relief for even seriously dry, chapped hands. It’s so concentrated that a small amount instantly leaves dry hands noticeably softer and smoother.  Use it on your elbows, knees, face and lips- anywhere your dry skin needs extra help.

How can I be so brutal towards one of the most important body part?

When I ordered this product I thought it would be creamier like the other creams. But I was in for a rude shock. It resembles just like a Vaseline Jelly. Infact it is a lot thicker than it. I agree I was a tad disappointed with respect to its texture. But as I had purchased it, I had no option but to try it.

And lo! Behold!

My first application in itself changed my mind set.

It is a cute tube. The opening is quite small, so be rest assured there won’t be any spillover. It is a product from Johnson and Johnson and it sure is very delicate on your skin.

I apply it every night before I go to sleep. I recommend you all to use it at night because this cream tends be sticky/greasy and it becomes difficult to do any work after that until it is completely absorbed.

On application your hand looks shinier and smoother. Infact even after a good 7 hours sleep, the effect remains intact. Isn’t it wonderful?

The tube doesn’t get over soon. It promises over 200 applications which is a killer steal for Rs. 300.

When you apply it on your hand and rub it you will see that it smudges into white colour. You got to continuously rub it till it gets absorbed into your skin. This cream provides a great cushion to your hands. It acts as an active barrier from dryness and chapped hands.

There are brownie points to this product. It can also be used on dry elbows, dry heels, lips (I do not use it on lips as it contains Parabens) and wherever you feel your body has dried up.

I am not much into manicures and pedicures (I don’t know why J ) So for me hand creams and foot creams play a very important role.

This cream has a very light fragrance so for all you people who are averse to strong fragrance….this product is the one for you…

• Moisturizes your hand very well. Makes them smoother and shinier
• Can be used on dry elbows, heels as well as lips

• Good pricing….for few Rs 300 would be taxing but the kind of quality the product has…it is absolutely worth it)
• No spillover as the cap is strong enough and the cream outlet is very small. Also the cream is thicker

What I don’t like about the product?

• Tends to be greasy…that’s why I use it only at night before I go to sleep.
• Paraben is an ingredient so I suggest not using this cream on your lips.

P.S.  When you feel your tube is all light and the cream is over…do not throw the tube. Cut the tube because I am sure you will find loads of cream in it that will last for another 10-15 days.
